ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE BAHÁ’Í WORLD FROM THE GUARDIAN OF THE FAITH

ATTENTION, BAHÁ’ÍS

Are you aware that the meaning of faithfulness to the Covenant changed after the death of Shoghi Effendi? In the ministries of `Abdu’l-Bahá and the first Guardian, firmness in the Covenant meant turning to the Master and to the Guardian of the Cause. After 1957, the Haifa organization changed the meaning of firmness in the Covenant to mean obedience to the Hands of the Faith and then to the institution they established and called the Universal House of Justice. However, the House of Justice set up by the Hands is not the organ of the Faith that `Abdu’l-Bahá has described in His Will. `Abdu’l-Bahá’s Will – the Charter of the New World Order, which, according to Shoghi Effendi, forms, with the Kitab-i-Aqdas, "two inseparable parts of one complete unit"– calls for the Guardian of the Cause to be the "sacred head and distinguished member for life of that body." How, then, can you who are followers of the Haifa organization maintain that you are able to assure continued divine guidance and can achieve true unity when, despite the statement in `Abdu’l-Bahá’s Will that says "The mighty stronghold shall remain impregnable and safe through obedience to him who is the guardian of the Cause of God", your organization has disavowed the continuing Guardianship of the Faith?
